Course Creation Best Practice 1: Clear Learning Objectives
In addition to knowing the overall objective of your online course (e.g. to show total newbies how to set up their own WordPress website), you should aim for clear learning objectives for each section and each lesson within your course.
This helps you stay on track for the purpose and content of sections and lessons. It makes it easier to plan out what you should and shouldn’t include and to group similar subjects, topics and contexts together in a more logical order.
By having clear learning objectives, it also helps you to guide your students in what they’re going to learn in a particular section or lesson and then remind them of what they have learned in a particular section or lesson. This reinforces and embeds learning!
