Course Creation Best Practice 3: Use Learning Objectives to Motivate

Referring back to your learning objectives – the overall course one plus your individual section and lesson ones – can be a great tool to keep your learners motivated.

You use them to remind learners how far they’ve come (as we often forget what it was like to not know something) and to keep them excited for what they’ve left to learn.

Be sure to talk about them with enthusiasm and encouragement (appropriate to your content and natural style) and don’t be afraid to repeat them – aim for the beginning, middle and end to begin with, adjusting as necessary to make it flow within your training.
